AN amazing effort from our colleague John Wilson and donations from John Henry Group staff, clients and partners, will ensure that SSAFA, the armed forces charity, will benefit from a cash boost of £2,500.
If you’ve been following John’s progress, you’ll know he was set to cycle 80 miles a day, for three days as part of a charity challenge to mark 100 years since the infamous Battle of Passchendaele, one of the bloodiest conflicts of the First World War.
John, pictured here (left) with his brother and a friend – all three of whom are ex Royal Engineers – completed the challenge at the weekend in Belgium, near to where the original battle took place, raising thousands of pounds for SSAFA in the process.
Funding the trip himself, John would like to thank everyone including; clients, colleagues and friends, who have all helped and sponsored him. All proceeds will go to the charity, which supports armed forces veterans and their families.
