John Henry Group has appointed former Virgin Media Business managing director Mark Heraghty, as its new non-executive group chairman.
Mark, who graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a degree in Mechanical Engineering (1985) and holds an MBA awarded by Warwick University (1992), held his most recent executive role was as Managing Director of Virgin Media Business (2009-2013) and prior to that he was President EMEA for Reliance Globalcom with regional responsibility for the FLAG Telecom and Vanco acquisitions.

Mark is a highly-experienced leader in the telecoms industry where, since the beginning of the 1990s, he has worked as a senior executive of companies such as Virgin Media and Cable & Wireless.
He is currently a Non-Executive Director at Interxion, a leading provider of data-centre services across Europe and is also a Strategic Advisor to SourceConnect.net, a provider of telecoms software services to businesses in the US and Europe.
During the 1990s he held a number of Sales and Marketing roles at Mercury Communications and from 2000 to 2003 he was CEO Europe for Cable & Wireless.
Mark joins John Henry Group to assist with the company’s growth strategy, maintaining responsible growth and ensuring the business continues to lead within the telecoms industry with the innovation of new ideas and through excellent customer service standards.
