CAMBRIDGE Office Colleagues Megan Paterson and Sarah Borley are set to take part in the Race For Life on Sunday (July 16) in memory of close family and friends who have endured Cancer.
“This is the third year I am participating in the Race for Life for Cancer Research and my friend Sarah Borley has decided to join me,” said Megan, who has been working in the John Henry Group accounts team since November 2015.
“My best Friend, back in South Africa, has been affected by Cancer as her mom had Breast Cancer, and had to have Surgery.
“I have seen first-hand how it can affect a family, and those around them – I have also known other friends of mine, who themselves have been affected, or their families have been affected.
“I want to be able to raise awareness, and of cause donations, no matter how small, as every donation makes a difference and brings hope to those currently suffering.”
Meanwhile, Sarah Borley is set to join Megan in the same Race For Life 5k Challenge.
It will be the first time Sarah has undertaken the challenge.
She said: “I decided at the beginning of the year to do this as I had loved ones who were unfortunately battling this horrible disease.”
“By the time I signed up, a few weeks after I lost my Nan indirectly to Ovarian cancer that she had been battling for almost seven years.
“Me and my Nan were very close and I loved her very much and miss her every day.
“I want to be able to look up to the sky after I have done this challenge and say this is for her and for everyone going through what she had been through.
“I am asking you to please give as little or as much as you can to help the researchers get the cure to beating cancer once and for all.”
