UNITED KINGDOM – Ofcom, the UK telecoms regulator, has announced a new tool to help consumers track the performance of mobile internet networks and fixed line broadband (ISP Review- March 31, 2016).
At the moment the new tool only compares some of the major contracts available and has been described as ‘very basic’ but it allows customers to enter their postcode and test the surrounding coverage.
Ofcom’s CEO Sharon White told online broadband news website ISP Review today:
“This interactive map is part of our work to arm people and businesses with high-quality, accessible information, helping them make informed decisions about their communications services.”
